Would it be possible not to hardcode the context menu to Dolphin, etc.?

Thanks!

Hi hotice,

These entries are just some default. You can adjust and change (add/remove) them in the settings window (Tab "Other Settings").

Lukas

Hi Lukas,
Brilliant app and many many thanks for developing this!Could you please guide me through adding a "Print currently open image file" option in the context menu as well a "Locate file" in nautilus option (if possible).
Thanks once again!

Hi vishnubk,
Unfortunately, printing an image is currently not possible from inside Photo. You have to fall back to another image viewer (like gwenview or the like). Photo once had basic printing support, but it wasn't up to standard. I hope to bring it soon back, in an improved way. Maybe already in the next version, can't say for sure yet...
Locating a file in nautilus, however, is rather easy: Simply entering "nautilus %f" as executeable will do the trick. %f is a placeholder for the filename (also possible: %d for the directory).
Let me know, if you encounter any problems with that.

For the good-old "Enterprise LTS" rpms on MRB,
and for the brand new "Desktop Fresh 2012.1" on contrib.

 problem with loading some files

 by Sagart on: Jul 2 2013

Score 50%

Hello, great viewer. But I have a problem with opening some images by clicking on them directly from desktop by double clicking on them, for example. When opening from inside of your program, everything works. I found out that this is due to some extra characters in file names of that images, or/and in the path of the image. That are some Czech characters: "ě,š,č,ř,ž,ý,á,í,é,ú,ů,ó,ň,ď,ť and it's upper case equialents.
In example:
/home/user/obrázky/foto.jpg -> will not show
/home/user/obrazky/foto.jpg -> will show
/home/user/obrazky/růže.jpg -> will not show
/home/user/obrazky/ruze.jpg -> will show
/home/user/OBRÁZKY/foto.jpg -> will not show

Can you please fix it? As I said, this is amazing and fast viewer, but for now unusable for me because I have very much image names named in Czech.

Thanx :-)

Hi Sagart,

Sorry for the late reply, have been gone on holidays the last three weeks...

Did you try the latest development snapshot? This issue should already be fixed there. You can find the latest code on github: https://github.com/luspi/photoqt

Let me know if that works...

Regards
Lukas

Well, that sounds like exiv2 is missing on your system...

Btw: I'd recommend using v1.0 since it brings many updates and bug fixes.
